John Christopher Myrick of Alexander, Arkansas was born to the late Walter Myrick III and Dorothy (Damewood) Myrick, on Saturday, April 6th, 1957, in Odessa, Texas. He left this world too soon and a little dimmer on his 68th birthday, Sunday, April 6th, 2025, safely in his home. John loved fishing, hunting, boating, and most of all, laughing. He accomplished many things in life, such as being a Printing Press Operator, Graphic Artist, and a Food Service Manager.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Dorothy Myrick of Lubbock, Texas, and his grandparents, Walter Jr and Margaret Myrick of Lubbock, Texas, and Sam and Elizabeth Damewood of Radford, Virginia.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Belinda Myrick; daughter, Candice Peterson and her husband, Bobby, of Norman, Oklahoma; cousin, Betsy Leonard of Waco, Texas; nieces and nephews, Barry Myrick (Wendi) of Round Rock, Texas, Sam Myrick (Liz) of Pflugerville, Texas, Bryan Myrick (Brittany) of Brooklyn, New York, Lindsay Plants (Nick) of Arcadia, Oklahoma, Nick Myrick (Lynnsey) of Austin, Texas, and Adam Myrick (Sarah) of Edmond, Oklahoma; grand nieces and nephews, Lily and Barron Myrick of Round Rock, Texas, Lincoln, Nico, and Eleanor Myrick of Pflugerville, Texas, Kaiya, McKenzie, Koda, and Eli Plants of Arcadia, Oklahoma, Vincent, Henry, and Elliot Myrick of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Luke Myrick of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Walter Myrick (Amy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Robert Myrick of Amarillo, Texas; and his beloved dog, Munchkin; along with other family and friends who all love him and will miss him greatly.
There are no services scheduled at this time.
On behalf of Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, we are honored to be entrusted to take part in John's final moments and to care for his family as we care for our own.
