John J. Needham Jr.

John J. Needham, Jr. of Buzzards Bay, MA passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2024 at the age of 73, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
John was the successful business owner of John J. Needham Appraisal Inc. and well respected businessman in the community.
John is survived by his wife, Mary K. Goes of Buzzards Bay, MA. He was the loving father of David M. Needham and his wife Maureen (Hangac) of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher Y. Needham and his wife Carrie (Petteys) of Syracuse, UT, Matthew G. Goes and his wife Rachel (Pomerleau) of Howell, MI, Maddock D. Goes and Meika Rae of Buzzards Bay, MA. His brother Michael Needham of Conway, NH and his Sister Mary McHugh and her husband Michael of Belmont, MA.
He was a loving grandfather and best Papa ever to Vincent, Owen, Henry, Mason and Madison. Loving Uncle to Marie and Jonathan McHugh of Belmont.
John was born in Boston on July 13, 1951, he was raised in Brighton and Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School, he spent many years in the automotive industry in all facets. He was co-owner of Home and Auto Appraisal for many years, until John J. Needham Appraisal was established in 1996. John was an avid photographer, many of his images were published, his passion for culinary art he has passed on to his children and grandchildren spending hours in the kitchen or his pizza oven sharing recipes and teaching the art of cooking.
His love for the outdoors fishing, hunting, boating or his amazing gardening skills has inspired us all.
John has touched so many lives in his long career mentoring many young people, his teachings will live on forever and his friendships a lifetime.
Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
His graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree.
