John Pappert, age 71, of Bear, DE, died peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023. His long struggle with cancer is finally over.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in August of 1952, he was a son of the late Lou and Anna Pappert. John was raised in Trevose, PA with his 11 brothers and sisters. He was a graduate of Bensalem High School in 1970. John spent a good portion of his life in Trevose before moving to Bear, DE over 20 years ago. He spent many years working in the pharmaceutical industry starting with Royer Pharmaceutical in Fort Washington, PA. John finished his working career with A.I. Dupont in Delaware, retiring around 2012.
John was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, hiking, camping, and canoeing. He liked to garden, hang bird feeders, watch the deer and squirrels in his backyard and do home improvement projects. John also enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, watching sports and old-time movies, eating good food and having a beer. He was a loving husband to his wife, Julie Morgan-Pappert and stepfather to his son, Elijah and a dear brother to his siblings. John was a kind, happy and peaceful soul who was loved and will be missed by many friends and family.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia, Regina and Willy; niece and nephew, Cori and Lou; and his first wife, Sandra. He is survived by his wife, Julie Morgan-Pappert; stepson, Elijah; siblings, Louie, Larry (Sherry), Jim (Sandy), Paul (Tonya), Mary (Jim), Carl, Stephen and Robert; nieces and nephews, Maria, Jim, Dave, Jenna, Jessica, Kristen, Briana, Regina, Lauren, Jared and Dante; and many cousins and friends, especially his good friend, Billy Carp.
