John is survived by his wife Bertha, children; Christopher Pinney (Michelle), Jonathan Pinney, Larissa Pinney, grandson; Caleb John Pinney, brother, Delta Richard Pinney, sisters; Frances Erickson, Della Rose De La O, Anna May Marrufo.
A visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N. Resler Dr. with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 400 W Sunset Rd. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4848 Alps. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.

I found out about Johns death through someone that use to work there and my dads friend knew him, I am very sorry Bertha for you loss, I used to at Delta, I had resign for personal reasons and I knew John, not personally but his integrity and wanted to get things done. We all left at the beginning of pandemic but I did my best

I was saddened to hear of John's passing, he was so enjoyable to be around. I am fortunate to have known John and Bertha through both my family and work. He will be dearly missed. I was so sad to hear that John had passed. When I think of him I hear his voice, and see his face. He always seemed to be smiling. He will be greatly missed. I pray for peace and comfort for all of those he left behind.

Reality still hasn´t set in that this is true. My deepest condolences to all of you, Bertha, Chris, Jay, Larrissa and the whole family. John was more than a close friend to me, he was a hero, a mentor, a father figure and lastly someone whom I admired and respected. I will miss our deep conversations and cherish the memories, lessons and wisdom you thought me over the years. No one can ever replace you, and I´m very thankful to have had you in my life. May the lord welcome you with open arms, Heaven is a much more lively place now as certainly your bringing laughter and joy to those in Heaven as you did to all of us here. You left us too soon RIP!
