John K. Plaver, age 67, of Canton passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 5, 2024. He was born in Canton on November 4, 1956, to John A. and Aurelia (Stoia) Plaver and is a graduate of Oakwood High School. John spent time as a firefighter/EMT for Plain Township, as grounds keeper at Henry Warstler Cemetery, and at Aultman Hospital as a phlebotomist and later as an ER technician for over 30 years up to his retirement. John spent the past 5 years working at the Arnold Funeral Home as an associate. He had a love of cars, enjoyed tinkering in his garage, and woodworking. He was incredibly proud of his 2 children and their success.
He is preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his children Emily Plaver of Tampa, FL and Adam Plaver of Cincinnati, and his beloved dog, Charlie.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 12 from 4-6 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Tuesday at 11 AM. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.

John Keith you were always at mom´s house while Aunt Rol worked. You were loved so much by your mom and dad .We became connected again when my daughter was in the hospital..we were first cousins and I regret not Spending more time with you
