John Rodriquez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferrara Colonial Mortuary - Orange on Jan. 21, 2026.
John Solorio Rodriguez, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 86 in his hometown of Orange, California. Born on April 5, 1939, to a close-knit family, John's life was marked by a profound sense of duty, a zest for life, and an enduring love for his family and country.

John's journey began in the very town where he would later leave his indelible mark. A proud graduate of Orange High School, it was there that he met the love of his life, Delia Solis. Their connection was instantaneous, and their love story was one for the ages. They married young and together navigated the waters of life, celebrating more than 67 years of marriage filled with joy, challenges, and triumphs. Though his wife Delia and their son Eric preceded him in death, their legacy of love continued to thrive through John's devotion to their memory.

John's life was a testament to the values of hard work and excellence. For over four decades, he plied his trade as a cement mason, earning the respect of his peers for his skill and dedication. His work stands as a testament to his craftsmanship and is a lasting contribution to the community he loved.

Family was the cornerstone of John's world. He is survived by his loving daughters, Diane and Debbie (husband Ernest); his son, John (wife Robyn); his grandchildren, Arielle, Kayley, Sami, Ernie Jr., Jonathan, Joshua, Jacob, Lena, Stephanie, and Jennifer; his great-grandchildren, Santino, Angie, Avery, Ava, Justin, Valerie, and Matthew, all of whom he had a great pride and joy.

John's home was the hub of family gatherings, echoing with laughter during barbecues, football games, and big boxing matches on TV. His bond with his father and brothers was a source of strength and camaraderie, as they shared countless hours swapping stories and working on his beloved truck and motorcycle in the garage.

A man of deep patriotism, John revered the stories of his father's experiences in WWII and swelled with pride when his son joined the Marine Corps. His faith, deeply inspired by his wife, was a guiding light in his life. Together, they regularly attended Mass, building strong friendships within their church community.

Adventurous and spirited, John lived a good life. His love for his family, his passion for his work, and his faith defined his character. As a husband, father, brother, and son, he was the epitome of dependability and provision.

John Solorio Rodriguez will be remembered not only for the life he led but also for the lives he touched. His legacy is one of love, integrity, and honor. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we take solace in the knowledge that his spirit will forever be a guiding force in the lives of his family and friends.
