John L. Ross 75 of Danville Indiana passed away on June 10, 2022 at Hendricks Regional Health. He was born on December 02, 1946 in Indianapolis, to the late Theodore and Audrey (Money) Ross. John married Jannell E. Falls on March 29, 1995 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart for his services. John retired from the United States Postal Service after many years. He also retired from the Danville and Amo Volunteer Fire Departments. After retirement, John worked at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds and Ferguson's Hardware in Danville. John was a member of the Danville Lions Club, Danville Jaycees, IVFA, VFW, and the American Legion Post 118. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Jann Ross of Danville; son, Keith Ross (Ileana) of Danville; daughter, Melissa Van Meter (Shawn) of Lebanon; stepdaughters, Dawn Rose (Tim) of Clayton, and Deelyn Lynch (Arthur) of Indianapolis; brother, Kim Alan Ross (Sally); 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and two more great grandchildren arriving soon. His parents, first wife of 28 years, Marjorie (Cloncs) Ross, and siblings Bill, Earl, Helen, Hazel, and Eileen preceded him in death. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined. Baker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
