Dr. Saia was my final preceptor in PA school, twenty years ago this summer! I'm sure he had concerns about my abilities, but he taught me a lot and I continued to visit him, with my 3-year-old daughter in tow, after I graduated. I've been a PA for twenty years now, and am so grateful for having had that experience with the best, the Italian Stallion, as he liked to say. Thinking of you all, and hoping your memories will keep him alive for a long time. Farewell, my friend and mentor.
