Carl was born on April 27th 1945 to Charles Robert Schmidt and Anne Virginia (Jett) Schmidt in Baltimore, Maryland, as their first born son. Our father Charles was serving as an Army officer during World War 2. The celebration of the end of the war was enhanced by the arrival of baby "Carl" into the world that same year. He would serve God until September 2025 when he was called home to glory to be with Jesus, his LORD and Saviour, on the afternoon of the 19th, while enjoying the beauty of the LORD's creation, sitting on the shore of the Gulf of America at the national park beach named Opal, with family and friends. As his younger brother, Lance, I shared with guests from China his passing into heaven.
The LORD God, Jehovah-Jesus had a wonderful plan and purpose for Carl. He would live an amazing story and journey for his life as God's choice child and servant modeled after the Apostle Paul. Carl would be a very special called and chosen part of God's plans for our time and benefit. God's true history and plan can be said to be truly "His-Story".
"Teacher Carl" joins our parents in heaven to worship the LORD of glory together. He departs this earth leaving me, Lance Robert (Pace, Florida) and Christine Anne Porter (Colorado), his younger siblings to continue on with their spouses, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren many precious nieces and nephews that Carl adored and his many "children" were his students from China that love him and supported his retirement years.
All glory to the LORD Jesus Christ!

I was very heartbroken to have heard lost such a great man, but happy because he has gone to glory standing before our Lord and Savior, Jesus. My wife and I will continue to hold the Schmidt family up in our prayers. From Jon & Sharon Collett, North Manchester, IN.
