John "Jack" L. Scrocca of Mahopac, NY passed away on January 15, 2022 at the age of 80. He was born in Manhattan on January 29, 1941, son of the late Charles and Frances (neé Putignani) Scrocca. On May 4, 1963 he married Peggy Davis at St. Anthony's Church in Yonkers; together for 43 years before her unexpected passing in 2006. Jack worked for the old Long Acre Printing Company in New Rochelle, NY before retiring in 2004.
Jack was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his family & friends. Throughout the years you could find Jack at the Lombardi's Dugout over many weekends, dancing the night away with his wife Peggy & friends, as well as taking vacations to Cape Cod with the family and last minute weekend trips to Atlantic City with Peggy. He loved attending his children & grandchildren's sporting & dancing events and spending time with his companion Rose Mary and his friends at the Senior Center. Lastly, you could always found him tinkering around the house painting the deck, mowing the lawn and raking the leaves.
Jack is survived by his son John and his wife Karin, his daughter Jacqueline Scrocca, and his grandchildren Taylor, Madison, and Christopher Scrocca. In addition to his wife Peggy, Jack was predeceased by his sister Ann Maeillo in 2019.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 20th from 3-7 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 21st at 10 AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, also in Mahopac. Interment will follow at Mt.
