John George Shannon, Sr., 82, passed away August 10, 2025. He was born February 9, 1943, to the late George & Mary Shannon and of the Catholic faith. John loved walking, auctions, making new friends, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Helen Shannon and his brother, Chris Shannon.
Survived by his son, John Shannon, Jr.; daughters, Joy Plachy, Nina Hine and Heather Gallagher; brother, Ken Shannon; grandchildren, John Shannon, III, James Anthony, Amy Shannon, Ashley Shannon, Justin Burke, Christian Davison, Jordan Shannon, Joseph Plachy, Jr., Dixie Shannon, Adam Plachy, Aiden Plachy, Kaylynn Gallagher, Alyssa Plachy and Bella Plachy; great-grandchildren, Leland Shannon, Warren Anthony, Paisley Hagan, Mylah Burke, Waylin Anthony, Attikus Guy and Illidan Davison.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
