John Simonis Obituary
Loving husband to Elizabeth Simonis for 54 years. Mr. Simonis was born in Brockton, raised in Whitman but has been an East Falmouth resident for the last 40 years. Former marine stock room manager at Harry Miller Boat yard of Boston, MacDougall's Cape Cod Marine Service and retired from Edwards Boatyard in East Falmouth.
Mr. Simonis, son of Helen Mazur- Simonis and Thomas Simonis Sr. He was pre- deceased by his brother, Thomas Simonis Jr. of Brockton. Survived by Lucy Simonis Allen and Sister Judy Simonis of Saint Joseph, Boston currently living in Port Charlotte, Florida. Father of two daughters, Catherine Simonis Feroli of Mashpee and Caroline Simonis Rogers of Blue Springs, MO. Grandfather to Michaela, Christopher, Noah John, Caitlin and Jackson. Great grandfather to Riley, Khaleesi and Lily.
He started studying for the deaconate in the Diocese of Fall River in the late 90's and served at St. Patrick's Church for the last 20 years. An avid Patriots fan and previous season ticket holder. He enjoyed painting, reading, listening to all genres of music and spending time with family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 1st at St. Patrick's Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth, MA 02540.
Burial will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

I worked with John at Harry Miller years ago. I remember when the family moved to Falmouth. Lovely family. I´m so sorry for your loss
