GILFORD ---- John Kenneth Simonton, 83, of Sargent Place, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, while in hospice care in Concord, NH.
John was born on December 2, 1941, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Candler Simonton and Mabel (Yorks) Simonton.
John worked as a house painter for most of his life. He enjoyed camping in Maine, gardening, and spending time with family. He was very caring and loved people.
John is predeceased by his wife of over 20 years, Irene Watson, of Gilford, NH. He is survived by his children; daughter Cheryl Haghighi of Alton, NH, sons; Michael Simonton of Rhode Island, Joshua Simonton of Gilford, NH, Noah Simonton of Round Rock, TX, and step-sons; Eric Weil, Mark Weil and Joshua Ahlin. John leaves over 20 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. John is predeceased by brothers, Bud Simonton, Harold Simonton and Karol Simonton and sister Joanne Gordon. John is also predeceased by his previous wives, Dorothy Jennings, Diane Simonton and Jean Plummer, and is survived by previous wife Kari Ahlin-Raspante.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 2:30pm-4:30pm, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30pm also at the funeral home.
