John C. Stafford 11/8/1930-3/12/2024
JC Stafford was the best husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was born on November 8, 1930 in Ashland, Kentucky. He had 4 brothers and 1 sister. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1948, where he was voted best natured boy in his class. He attended college at Asbury College, Florida State University, and University of Maryland. He served in the US Air Force from 1951-1955. He had a long career managing credit unions in The Philippines, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas before retiring from Bossier FCU.
Other than, spending time with his family, JC loved traveling the world with Mary Ann. He loved watching University Of Oklahoma football games as a season ticket holder for over 40 years. He loved music. He played several instruments but his grandchildren will most remember him playing his harmonica. He played my "Old Kentucky Home" for everyone when we watched the Kentucky Derby every year.
JC was married to the love of his life, Mary Ann, for over 68 years. Their daughter, Julie, greeted him in heaven. He will be missed by their son, Rick and daughter-in-law Amy; daughter, Debra and son-in-law, Ray; and daughter, Donna and son-in-law Mike. He was the best Grandaddy in the world to Lauren (Randal), Evan, Sarah (Jon), Danielle (Bob), Jonathan (Rose), Chelsea (Ethan), Kate (Cesar), Emmy, and Quinn. He was the best Great-Grandaddy to Allie, Wesley, Konner, Kyleigh, Kennedy, Lucas, Myles, Sloane, and Charlotte.
A celebration of life will be held on April 6, 2024 in Shreveport.
