John Marshall Stuckey, age 84, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away on January 15, 2026, at his home.
He was born on June 13, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to the late Clarence and Viola (Riggs) Stuckey. He graduated from Thomas W. Kelly High School class of 1959. On November 4, 1960, John was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn in Benton, Missouri.
John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. While in the Air Force, he was stationed overseas, including time in Italy and Taiwan. Following his military service, John earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 1976 and spent many years working as a Project Manager for the State of Missouri Department of Administration, until his retirement in 2002.
A man of deep faith, John was a longtime and devoted member of Union Hill Baptist Church since 1977, where he served faithfully as a deacon, including time as Chairman of Deacons and later Deacon Emeritus. He was raised on a family farm and carried those values of hard work, service, and devotion throughout his life.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, John Kevin Stuckey, Jeffrey Stuckey and James Stuckey (Bernadette Miller); his grandchildren, BreeAnna Taylor, Clarice Stuckey, Savannah Halbrook, James Michael Stuckey, and Darrian Stuckey; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Stewart, Sam, James, Frank, Charles, Harold, Paul, and Joe Stuckey; and his sisters, Mildred Schiwitz, Juanita South, and Violet (Shay) Pack.
Friends and family will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Union Hill Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. L.P. Cook, III officiating.
Interment at Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton, Missouri at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Union Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or The Parkinson's Foundation.
