John A. Taylor, 77, of Hamilton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Angola, Indiana.
John was born on July 19, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Roy F. and Margaret B. (Petro) Taylor. He graduated from Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana and attended IPFW and Alfred University in Alfred, NY.
John was a self-employed contract driver for often working for Don Ray Drive-A-Way in Decatur, Indiana.
John attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola, Indiana and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Waterloo, Indiana.
He was a member of the Rock Steady Boxing Club at YMCA of Steuben County in Angola, Indiana.
Surviving is his loving wife, Sarah J. Beckman of Hamilton, Indiana and his siblings, Shirley Omlor of Monroeville, Indiana, James Taylor of North Carolina and Margaret (Tony) Click Greco of Nashville, Tennessee. Also surviving are his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be given to the YMCA of Steuben County for the Rock Steady Boxing Club,
500 E. Harcourt Road, Angola, Indiana 46703 or the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, PO Box 204, Angola, IN 46703.
