John Tolbert Obituary
We are here to celebrate the life of Bishop John A. Tolbert, 1st, born April 17, 1945 in Reading, Pennsylvania. He passed on March 09, 2022. He was a faithful husband, loving father, and committed servant of the Lord for all that met him.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Rosemary and 4 children John, Rose, Shawn, and Shawneen. He was also the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He leaves behind a host of spiritual children.
Bishop was an author, songwriter, musician, preacher of the gospel, and US Army veteran. He mentored many, proved to be an advocate for the underdog, and counselor to those facing challenges. He was a valued community leader that impacted countless lives.
He will be missed. However, he will live on forever as his teachings and lessons continue to inspire those blessed to have met him.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina N. Young, of Young's Daughters Funeral Home.
