John Michael Vanderford, 47, passed away on Friday Oct. 20, 2023 in Madison County, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. Oct. 23, 2023 from 4pm-8pm and on Tues. Oct. 24, 2023 from 10am-11am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Tues. Oct. 24, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Puckett Cemetery in Puckett, MS.
John was born on July 13, 1976 in Flowood, MS and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgeland, MS. He was the former owner of a concrete pumping business, enjoyed being a cowboy, hunting, and fishing. Most of all, John loved his kids and was a wonderful family man.
He is survived by his mother & stepfather, Bobbie and Jason Jones; father & stepmother, Jack and Mary Vanderford; wife, Rhonda Vanderford; maternal grandmother, Viola Allen; children, Chase Michael Vanderford, Carson Dean Vanderford, Cannon Lee Vanderford and Callie Lynn Vanderford; five siblings, Martha Cottle (John), William David Vanderford (Alicia), Jacob William Vanderford (Brooke), Micah Ivan Vanderford (Marie) and Jeannie Elise Wilson (Nathan); step brother, Jason Colby Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. John is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, A. J. Jones; paternal grandfather, George Vanderford (Fannie) and paternal grandmother, Billie Ruth Vanderford.
