John VanGetson Obituary
John T. VanGetson, 53, of Moline, passed away, April 2, 2024, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday April 12, 2024, at Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at 9:45 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline for procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Q.C. Paws.
John was born on November 2, 1970, in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Leonard and Phyllis “Jo” (Williams) VanGetson. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Army. John enjoyed being outdoors and riding his bike. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan.
Survivors include his mom, Jo VanGetson; siblings, Vince (Patti) VanGetson, Denise VanGetson, Brett VanGetson; son, Zachary VanGetson; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
