CUYAHOGA FALLS-John Lewis Vasilev, 66, of Streetsboro, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2024. He was born on July 3rd 1957 to George and Marjorie (nee Brueggeman) Vasilev in Akron, Ohio. After graduating from Firestone High School in 1977 he became a machinist. John spent more than 25 years at Lucas Aerospace and retired from Norman Noble.
Always up for fun, he enjoyed time with his family, friends, and coworkers. He especially loved boating, fishing and riding his motorcycle. John’s quiet manner hid his playful attitude.
