JOHN R. VOEGEL CYNTHIANA, INDIANA Watch his Video Tribute at: http://www.werryfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/permalink/11886453/LTVideo John Ray Voegel, 74, of Cynthiana, Indiana, passed away, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at his home in Cynthiana, Indiana. He was born February 5, 1951, to Fred and Betty (Montgomery) Voegel in Evansville, Indiana, and was on the family's cemetery board at Calvert's Chapel Cemetery. He was a proud member of the Carpenters Local 90 in Evansville, Indiana. His hobbies included tooling around in the golf cart catching up on the local town news, woodworking and "tinkering" around his daughter's place doing projects. Surviving are his daughter: Trisha Ann and her mother: Linda Crawford; grandson: Jett Ray Alvey; brothers: Kim and Keith Voegel; nephew: Brian Voegel (Andria) and their children Millissa, Elijah, Cheyanne Voegel and Dakota Wasson; nieces: Shannan Crews (Justin) and their son Barrett, Jaime Voegel & family along with Lisa Beth and family. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers: Jeff and Jim Voegel; grandson: Jake Wilson and longtime companion: Judy Risley. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. (Noon), Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial to follow in Calvert's Chapel Cemetery near Cynthiana, Indiana. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time, Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Calvert's Chapel Cemetery, PO Box 265, Cynthiana, IN 47612.

So saddened to learn of Johns passing. Many happy time, years ago. Very accomplished man of many talents. Took a lot of pride in his surroundings, especially the land scaping. Sure going to miss his presence. My heartfelt condolences to his family. RIP" "OLD FRIEND"
