POSEYVILLE, INDIANA
Darlene Rae (Tucker) Voegel, 76, of Poseyville, Indiana, born December 22, 1947, to Irene (Sallee) Thompson in San Bernardino, California, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a long battle of multiple health issues on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Heart to Heart Hospice of Evansville, Indiana.
She graduated from Wanatah High School in 1966. She lived her life in Indiana and spent most of her adult life in Poseyville Indiana. On July 5, 1969 she married James Voegel. She was a member of the Poseyville Christian Church.
Surviving are her son: Brian J. Voegel (Andria) of Poseyville, Indiana; daughter: Jaime D. Voegel (Andrew) of Evansville, Indiana; brothers: Bill Saulsgiver (Sherry) of Hanna, Indiana and Danny Saulsgiver (Adria) of Kouts, Indiana; sister: Michele Thomas (Scott) of Hanna, Indiana; 9 grandchildren: Millissa, Dakota, Elijah, Cheyenne, Therron, Fiona, Leonardo, Tyrus and Addie along with 2 great grandchildren: James and Noah. She also leaves behind her special nieces and nephews and a few special friends who include Jim Tharp who preceded her in death and Philip Fisher.
Preceding her in death were her mother and husband: James Voegel on May 4, 2014.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial to follow at the Poseyville Cemetery in Poseyville, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, to help defray burial costs, memorial contributions may be made to: Werry Funeral Home, PO Box 297, Poseyville, Indiana 47633.
