John Zablocki Obituary

John and Barbara Zablocki, cherished parents and soon-to-be grandparents, passed away on April 23, 2024 and April 25, 2024, following a car accident in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
John's legacy is one of enduring love and commitment, beautifully mirrored by his wife, Barbara, who joined him in Heaven just two days after his passing. Their union was a testament to devotion, having been married in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, a place that held many fond memories for them, including their shared love for the excitement of the casino. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home, often hosting gatherings that became the heartbeat of family and friends' celebrations.
The couple raised two remarkable sons, Adam and Allan Zablocki, who brought great joy to their lives. Adam, with his wife Sarah, and Allan continued to spread the love that John and Barbara had instilled in them. The anticipation of welcoming their first grandchild, Luke, on September 26, 2024, was a source of immense happiness for them, a chapter of life they looked forward to with great excitement. They will be loved, remembered, and missed by many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
John is the loving son of Janina and the late Zygmunt Zablocki. He is preceded in death by his brothers Thaddeus and Zdzislaw Zablocki.
Barbara is the loving daughter of Beverly Arnold and the late Allan Arnold. She is the cherished sister of Kathy Arnold, Patricia (Tim) Koehn, Sharon (Sean) Flannick and Karen (Brian) Walker.
John was a man of many talents and an entrepreneurial spirit. He owned and operated Zablocki Waterproofing, a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft. Barbara, a graduate of UW LaCrosse, was the heart of their home, wearing many hats as a caretaker for her children and family. Together, they formed a team that was admired and respected by all who knew them.
An avid fisherman, John found peace and solace in the tranquility of nature. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his patience, skill, and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His gentle demeanor and kind heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of joining him on these serene outings.
Barbara was a social butterfly, partaking in cards with her girlfriends, playing pickleball and bowling. She enjoyed time spent outside in her yard and always kept busy. Barb was extremely lucky and had the ability to predict which machines would hit.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the lives of John and Barbara Zablocki at St. Leonard Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. From 2-2:30 PM the family will gather privately before the Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 PM, offering a space for reflection, prayer, and celebration of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family.
Their departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of many, but their spirits will continue to live on through the memories shared, the love they gave, and the lives they touched.
