Johnna M. Pugner-Queer, 47, of Latrobe, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at her home.
Born October 6, 1977, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late John F. Pugner Jr. and Margaret Ann (Hemminger) Pugner.
Johnna was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Latrobe. For many years, she was the steward at St. Joe's Social Club. She loved volunteering, especially with the Latrobe Fourth of July Committee. Famous for her love of tie-dye, she was also a devoted fan of the band Phish and enjoyed attending their concerts. With a joyful, positive attitude, Johnna was full of life and shared her joy with those around her. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends and loved any opportunity to help others.
In addition to her parents, Johnna was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth A. Pugner; a brother, Barry R. Matovic; and a niece, Krystal L. Matynosky.
Johnna is survived by her husband, William J. Queer, of Latrobe; one daughter, Martina Dunn, of Latrobe, three sisters, Kelly O'Barto (Bob) of Derry, Amy Pugner of Latrobe, and Judith E. Matovic of Latrobe; one brother, Brian R. Matovic (Jonathan), of Columbus, OH; her step-mother, Lorraine Pugner, of Latrobe; mother-in-law, Jaynie Queer Jenkins, of Bishopville, MD; sister-in-law, Joni Montgomery (Jamie); and nieces and nephews, Frankye, Samantha, Channing, Lily, Lauryn, Josh, Joshua, Jordan, and Josephine.
Family and friends will be received from 9 AM to Noon on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral liturgy will be held at Noon in the funeral home with the Rev. Romanus Davitt, O.S.B., officiating. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery.
