Johnny Wheeling

Johnny Wheeling, age 69, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. He was born on April 4, 1956, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Junior and Mott Wheeling.
Johnny owned and operated his own trucking business for many years and took great pride in his work. He was a faithful member of Generations Church. A devoted sports fan, Johnny enjoyed watching baseball and college football. He was also a talented carpenter and mechanic, known for his skillful hands and strong work ethic.
Johnny was a firm man with a kind heart. He loved playing jokes, traveling to the beach, and spending time with his beloved pets. A true friend, he never met a stranger and made lasting connections wherever he went. Above all, Johnny cherished his family and treasured every moment spent making memories with his children and grandchildren. Johnny was a God-fearing, loving man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbie Wheeling; sons, Josh Wheeling (wife Kellie) and Brad Wheeling (wife Tonya); grandchildren, Collin Wheeling (fiancé Aubrey), Dillan Wheeling (Emily), Madison Wheeling, Dalton Wheeling (Shae), Logan Brooke Wheeling and Hagen Wheeling; favorite son (four-legged),Trouble; great-grandchildren, Brooks Wheeling, Ellie
Wheeling, Charlotte Wheeling and Beau Wheeling; brothers, Doyle Wheeling and Jimmy Wheeling; sisters, Charlene Coffey and Brenda Wetherington (husband Jeff); as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Pastor Aaron White and Tim Marshall officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 15th from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
