Jolene Ellen "Toots" Elsberry

Jolene Ellen "Toots" Elsberry, age 65, of Gravois Mills, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at her home. She was born April 9, 1960, in Webster City, Iowa, a daughter of the late Norman and Letha (Heslop) Elsberry. Jolene was the director of nursing for nursing homes and later traveled the United States in a consulting position assisting various nursing homes in need. She and Kip also owned and operated a trucking company. She had a passion for building projects, whether it was remodeling a home or constructing a chicken coop for her beloved chickens. Above all, she loved her grandchildren and always looked forward to attending their sporting events. Jolene is survived by her significant other, Kip Linn; her children, Minette Schreier (Bobby), Zach Kadera (Brittany) and Kevin Linn; grandchildren, Robert Erickson III, Letha Erickson, Carly Erickson and Kaylynn Kadera; her siblings, Randia Grady, Norm "Bopper" Elsberry, Nancy Elsberry, Joyce Clark, Bart Elsberry, Elmer Elsberry, Valerie Henriquez and Anna Jones and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael "Buddy" Elsberry, her son, John Schreier and nephews, Jeff Clark, Michael Goodpaster and Adam Elsberry. A celebration of Jolene's life will be held at the Lehigh Ball Park in Lehigh, Iowa on Saturday, August 23rd, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
