Jolene was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Leola Bell; daughter Dianne Bates; husband of almost 50 years R.T. Rogers and two siblings. Mom loved the Lord, her pastor and her church but most importantly she loved her family. Her passing is a celebration because she was at peace and very much ready to meet the Lord. Our loss is truly heavens gain.
Jolene is survived by two sons Winfred Rogers (Vicki), Thomas "Tony" Rogers (Jessica); daughter Melanie Vallery (Scott); son-in-law Johnnie Bates; special niece Kathy Burnette; eight grandchildren, Clay (Lisa), Misty (Heather), John, Randall (Amber), Tayler, Tyler (Tori), Victoria (James), Thomas "Choo Choo"; 11 great-grandkids, 3 great-great grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kade Nowlin, Wayne White, Daniel Odom, Johnny Henderson, Burt Martinez and Stuart Kelly.
A special thanks to Misty, Heather and Laura-Beth Bates, Branden Price, and Traditions Hospice in Lafayette for their devoted care of Mom in her last days.
