Jon Bromfield Obituary

Jon Thomas Bromfield, age 53, died in his home on April 28, 2024.  Jon was born and raised in Denver, CO where he attended East High School.  After high school, he spent time in the Colorado mountains working as a snowmaker at Loveland Ski Area and at Steamboat Ski Area.  He also took some classes at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat.  He then moved back to Denver and received his BFA in sculpture from Metropolitan State College.  Jon pursued a career as a welder and sculptor for many years before he went back to school to complete his Masters in Education at the University of Colorado, Denver.  He became a much-loved teacher and spent the majority of his career teaching in many different schools in Jefferson County.

Jon loved making things, doing home improvements and helping others.  Any neighbor or friend knew that they could count on him to help with any project. He was also a big fan of movies and music and loved sharing his eclectic taste in both.

Jon is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jennifer, and their two children, Madison and Miles,  his father Meredith (Dana), his sister Cindy (Todd), his brother Joey (Emily) and stepsister, Kiley Ortiz. He also had many extended family and friends that were considered part of his family.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret.

Services are scheduled for May 7, 2024, at 4:30 pm at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 1350 North Washington St. Denver, CO 80203.
