Jon Woodward Jones, age 79, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away on 08/22/2025.
Jon was born in Berea, Ohio in 1946 to Thelma Faye Jones and Charles Othel Jones. Jon was the youngest of 5 siblings.
Jon was a wonderful, caring husband, father, and grandfather. Jon spent most of his career as a cost estimator for Janitrol Aero and later years as plant manager at TS Tech North America, and Action Group Inc. in Blacklick, Ohio. Jon enjoyed spending time with family on vacations to the beach and the great Tennessee mountains, listening to jazz music, as well as watching The Ohio State Buckeyes play on football Saturdays.
Jon was proceeded in death by his son Jon Paul Jones, his parents Thelma and Charles, along with his siblings, Robert, Charles, James, and Barbara.
Jon is survived by his loving wife Linda of 60 years, his son Michael (Rose) Jones, daughter Robyn (Walt) Johnson, daughter in law Anna Jones, grandchildren Justin (Sariyah) Jones, Bronson and Garret (Mary) Jones, Abigail and Emma (Sam Adams)Jones, Madelyne and Evan Johnson, Joey and Aurora Pennington. Great grandchildren; Carter, Cali, Cayden, and Sawyer. Many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements will be handled by Newcomer Northeast Chapel Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside gathering for immediate family will be held at a later date.
