Gloucester, MA - Jon Scott Lovasco, 65, of Gloucester, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at home, after a short illness with his wife and son by his side. Son of the late Salvatore and Rose (Aiello) Lovasco, Jon was born and raised in Gloucester. He graduated from Gloucester High School in 1979. He worked most of his life for RF Lane Company.
Jon had a warm personality and a great sense of humor that drew people to him. He loved striking up conversations and could make anyone smile. He especially enjoyed taking cruises to Bermuda and cheering on all the Boston sports teams. He loved working in his yard and took great pride in it. Above all, Jon cherished spending time at home with his beloved family and cat Rory.
Jon is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Shelley (Lane) Lovasco, as well as his son Adam and his girlfriend Megaen, his brother and best friend Peter Lovasco and his wife Julie, his brother Robert and his wife AnnMarie, his sisters-in-law Kimberly Lane and her partner Fred, Jackie Lovasco, his nephews Christopher and Stephen Perruzzi, Jason and Davis Parisi, Jeremy and Sebastian Lovasco, his nieces Hailey Allison and Makenzie Lovasco, his cat Rory and many of his cousins and friends.
Predeceased by his brother Sebastian Lovasco and his father-in-law Roswell Lane Jr.
