Jon Michael Miller

Jon passed away on October 13, 2025. He was born to Burr and Ruth Miller on December 3, 1935, being the third of three children. The family moved to Salem, OR where Jon graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1954. He immediately joined the Marines and served three years, including 18 months in Japan. Following service, he worked for the BLM in Alaska for four summers while attending college. Jon attended the University of Portland graduating with a degree in Engineering in 1964. While there he met and married Macie and they were together for 64 years. Also in 1964, Jon began working at Bonneville Power Administration where he worked until retirement in 1993.

Jon was a very active person enjoying running, completing 13 marathons, long distance bike riding, hunting in younger years, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, fishing and tried many more. In later years he spent many days on golf courses enjoying old and new friends.

Jon is survived by Macie and three children, Leslie Rogers, Jeanne Trojan, and Mike Miller. Also, six grandchildren and a sister, Nancy. At Jon's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Donate Life Northwest (www.DonatelifeNW.org).
