Jonathan “Jon Jon” James Bourg, 28, a native Golden Meadow and resident of Larose passed away on Sunday, June 1st, 2025.
Jonathan is survived by his babe: Emily Griffin; his baby girls and princesses: Rachel Ruth and Jonnie Lynn; father: Daniel “T-Boone” Barrios, II; brother: Dylan Shane Leissner; sister: Tesla Lynn Barrios (Holden Kieff); nephews: Bentley Billiot, Rage Lyons; paw paw: David W. Rushing (fiance’: Tammy Falgout); maw BJ: Billie Jo Barrios; brother in law: Luke Griffin (Katie); and mother in law: Melissa Griffin.
Mr. Bourg was preceded in death by his mother: Rachel Bourg Barrios; maw maw: Ruth Cheramie Rushing; paw Boone: Daniel Barrios, Sr.; grandfather: Ralph Bourg; and great grandparents: Linwood and Irene Cheramie.
Jon Jon was the upmost loving, kind man that loved to laugh and was a dedicated son, husband and father. He was a crabber by trade and loved hunting, fishing, and being out in nature; was a jack of all trades and master of none working on whatever he could. Jonathan was a friend to everyone he ever met, was always respectful to his elders, loved playing with his daughter Rachel and couldn’t wait to meet his upcoming daughter.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Christian Family Center in Galliano on Friday June 13th. 2025 from 9:00 am until service time. Jonathan’s service will begin at 11:00 am with procession following to his burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Golden Meadow.
