Jonathan Daniel Simpson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 13, 2025.
Jonathan, 38, passed away May 17, 2025. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and nephew. Born March 2, 1987, he was the firstborn child to his mother who became his best friend, and grandchild to his loving grandparents. He became a big brother to three sisters, who looked up to him and held a special bond. Jonathan's 5-year-old daughter was the center of his world, and he found his greatest purpose in being her dad. He had a deep love for his grandparents and uncle, always making time for long talks and shared memories. His family was the foundation of who he was. Jonathan's circle of childhood friends "the guys," were his chosen family.

He loved video games, Legos, books, movies, music, and history. He was an avid sports fan, especially Canucks hockey team and Chelsea soccer team. He shared these passions with people he loved. He took pride in any job he had, from setting tile, to working at the resort, and finally running the U-Haul, where he worked hard at building a good customer base with many great reviews and repeat customers.

Jonathan wasn't one to follow the crowd but was someone you could count on. His sense of humor, kindness, and loyalty will live on in the people who knew him and in the daughter he loved with all his heart.

He is survived by his daughter Vera Simpson; mother Shawna Simpson; three sisters, Kaitlyn (Sean) Weber, Lexi Johnson, and Laci Johnson; grandmother Pamela Simpson; uncles, Shane, Andy, and David Simpson; aunts, Lisa Gibbard and Gina Houle; cousins, Brandon and Jared Gibbard; niece, Makenzie Weber; nephews, Madden Weber and Colson Johnson; and many friends and family who will forever miss him. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, John, who he held a special bond with and has been missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at the London Bridge Resort Sunset Room in Lake Havasu, AZ on June 28, 2025, 3-6 PM.
