Jonathan Rafael Jansen, 36, of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Jonathan adored his family, the only thing bigger than Jonathan was his kindness and the impact he had on others. His greatest accomplishment in life was being a dad to Liam.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ken and Karla Jansen; uncle, Matt Jansen; grandfather, Eduardo Rosado; and grandparents, Robert and Mary Dell Brandenburg.
Jonathan is survived by his loving wife, Amber Jansen; son, Liam Jansen; father, David Jansen (Kaelin); mother, Lizzette Barrow (Mark); grandmother, Ligia Faulisi; grandparents, Larry and Jeanne Thomas; sister, Lauren Marley (Adam); brother, Joseph Jansen (Lauren); cousin, Nicole Vandenberg; nieces, Lucy and Zoey Marley; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jonathan was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, Georgetown College, and U of L Speed School. He worked for Vulcan Fire Systems.
A time to celebrate Jonathan's life will take place on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). There will be an open mic for anyone who wants to share memories during this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Jonathan’s memory be made to the Jonathan Jansen Memorial Fund by mail to American Bank and Trust, ATTN: Jonathan Jansen Memorial Fund, PO Box 688, Bowling Green, KY 42102. These donations will be for Liam's college fund.
