Jonathan Schnieders

Jonathan "Jon" Schnieders, age 44, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. He left this world way too soon from a heart attack. He was born on October 5, 1980, to Mark and Sandy Schnieders. Jon attended Jefferson City High School, where he was active in Track and Field, and Soccer. He later earned a degree in Business Administration from Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Jon worked alongside his father at Rainbow Lanes and Hook Sports Bar and Grill. His adventurous spirit led him to South Korea, where he spent a year teaching English to children. He was passionate about soccer and traveled the world playing the sport he loved. He also enjoyed snowboarding, taking on the slopes of the Swiss Alps in Switzerland, as well as those in Wisconsin and Colorado.
He is survived by his mother, Sandy Schnieders; his sister, Melanie Massman (Chris); and his beloved nieces, Chloe and best buddy Clara Massman. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Schnieders; and his grandparents, Paul and Mildred Schnieders, Virginia Kramer, and Harry Kramer.
Friends and family will be received at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Proto-Cathedral of St. Peter in Jefferson City. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Thomas L. Alber as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
