Jonathan "Jon" Shearin, 57 of Louisburg passed peacefully on September 7, 2025 at his home in Louisburg, NC.

Jon was born on August 17,1968 in Wake County, NC to James and Jean Shearin of Wake Forest.

Jon grew up with a passion for computers and later became a Computer Software Engineer that he not only loved, he was very good at it. Aside from his computers he loved guns, corvettes, sci-fi and reading. Jon owned his own computer store as a young man, taught at Wake Tech and worked for various companies including IBM and Lenovo. Additionally Jon accepted our Lord and Savior back in his heart last year and was a member of Tar River Cowboy Church. That relationship with God has been of great comfort during the past year of his declining health.

Jon was preceded in death by his father James and mother Jean. He was an only child. He is survived by his wife Kimberly Shearin of 14 years. Though he never had any biological children, Nicholas and Lillie came into his life with Kim and loved them completely as they were his children. Jon is also survived by his life long best friend but more like a brother, Anthony Murray ( Gwen) and cousin Bert Marshall ( Wanda).

There will be a celebration of life September 24, 2025 at 1pm in the afternoon at Tar River Cowboy Church, 1308 NC-98, Louisburg, NC, 27549.

In lieu of flowers, a fund is being established for Lillie. Information will be provided in the near future on how to contribute to the fund.
