Joni Kay Wallace, 69, of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Joni was born Thursday, February 2, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, and she was the daughter of the late Horace Loftis Choate and the late Carol Delone Johnson.

Joni was someone that everyone loved. She loved her job with the United States Census Bureau where she spent 20 years and enjoyed being a homehealth caregiver and that brought her pride. She loved anything funny, and especially loved to laugh and make others laugh.

Joni is survived by her daughter, Holli Chandler - Anderson and her wife Patty; 2 Grandchildren, Olivia and Colton Phillips, and her brother, Roger Choate.

In addition to her parents, Joni was preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace, 2 sons, Nathan Chandler, and Johnny Wallace and her brother, Steve Choate.

Funeral Service for Joni Kay Wallace will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Bear Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
