Jonna Kaye McRae

Jonna Kaye McRae, age 79 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Eternal Hope Hospice, after a long illness. She was born on January 27, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Wagner Rawlings, and John Rawlings. Jonna was a retired educator of 40 years with the Clayton County School System.

She is survived by her husband, Carey McRae; son, Bradley (Jenny) Surfus, stepchildren, Scott (Michelle) McRae, Jennifer (Norman) Segars; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Linda) Rawlings and Stuart (Mary) Rawlings. She is also survived by an uncle, Max Rawlings, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held February 28, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Sunnyside United Methodist Church, 5084 Old Atlanta Road Sunnyside, Georgia 30284.
