1952 – 2025
Jose A. Jiron, 73, of Walsenburg, Colo., passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Jiron; sons Joseph and Donald Jiron; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings Andy Martinez, Ben Martinez, Veronica Garcia and Suzanne Romero.
Preceded in death by parents Joe A. and Della Jiron; and siblings Gilbert Sandoval, Caroline Gallegos, Daisy Gills, Tomas Sandoval and May Ramirez.
Jose worked at the Colorado State Capitol Building in maintenance for more than 30 years and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cheering for the Denver Broncos, tinkering with gadgets, joking around and collecting things.
Jose will be remembered for his humor, faith and love for his family.
