José "osito" Osorio, a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, parishioner and friend, passed away peacefully and happy on his last days with his family, on March 10, 2025, at the age of 79.
He was born on November 30, 1945, in Lima, Peru and was an adopted American living in New Jersey.
Jose is survived by his dearly beloved wife Angela Segura, the light of his life, with whom he had 45 years of marriage, son Jose A. Osorio Jr. and his wife Gloria Forero, his daughter Leonor C. Osorio, his dear grandchildren Isabella Pomponio and Andrew Osorio, in addition to Mario Antoniello, who always called him grandpa, and siblings Paula, Gloria and Jose E. Osorio, and his many beloved nieces and nephews around the world.
He was adventurous, strong, with the biggest heart, a kind soul, full of generosity to everyone he loved.
Jose was a man of faith; he served God and supported his local parish, Divine Mercy, for years. A mass will be held there in his honor at 10:00 am on Friday, March 14, 2025. Divine Mercy is located at 232 Central Avenue in Rahway, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, at 53 Inman Avenue in Colonia, NJ.
His memory, honest advice and love remains in our hearts today and forever until we meet again.
Su recuerdo, consejos honestos, y amor permanece en nuestros corazones hoy y por siempre hasta que nos volvamos a ver.
