Jose Ojeda Santana, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, departed from this world on March 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on July 17, 1954, in Concord, Michigan, to Rosendo Santana and Maria Ojeda Santana, Jose's life was marked by profound connections and passions that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Santana, and his adoring children: Tricia Sue Santana, Andrea Michelle Santana, and Suzanne Jo Santana. His love extended to his grandchildren: Adriene, Aric, Alexes, and Avelyn; Ryan, Megan, Makenzie, and Marissa; and Sidney and Nicholas; as well as his great-grandchildren: Carter, Ryland, Emerson, Kayda, and Nylah; step children, Cary, Billie Jo, Chrissy, Melissa (Joey), and Donald; Jose also leaves behind six siblings: Martha, Dina, Ruben, Miguel, Mary, and Ruth, and a vast network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rosendo Jr.
In the quiet moments of remembrance, we honor Jose's life, celebrating his passions and joys. He found immense happiness in his family, cherishing each moment spent together. Jose had a love for classic cars, wrestling, and gardening. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoyed watching football and passionately supported the University of Michigan teams.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Jose's remarkable life will be held at the Lauer Family Funeral Home in Jackson, Michigan, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. It will be a time to gather, reminisce, and honor the life of a man who touched so many hearts.
