Joseph Ceccoli Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home on Feb. 5, 2024.
Joseph Daniel Ceccoli, Sr., of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024. He was 81 years old. Son of the late Joseph and Helen (Mashe), Joe was born at home in Eynon, PA on Betty Street. Joe and his family would move several times around the area before finally settling in a house in Dalton on N. Turnpike Road. He attended Catholic school playing basketball and baseball. He graduated from the University of Scranton in 1965 majoring in psychology, often paying his tuition with money he won in billiards. He moved to Philadelphia landing a job and meeting his future wife, Virginia. They would go on to have four children together.
Joe worked at D.I.S.C for 40+ years and over that time enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting pool, playing softball, and poker with friends and family. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved to laugh. Joe and Ginny were members of St. James Episcopal Church for over 30 years. Spending time with his kids and coaching with the M.A.A. gave him immense joy. Joe will be remembered as a great and loyal husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Ginny; his beloved children - Suzanne (Bob) Walker, Janet Ceccoli Cramer, and Andrew (Leia) Ceccoli; and his dear grandchildren - Joseph Ceccoli III, Eli Walker, Zoe Walker, Eric Cramer, Mia Carelli, and Mason Ceccoli He was predeceased by his son, Joseph, Jr., his brother, Darryll, and sister, Demaris.
Family and friends are invited to Joe's Life Celebration on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 12:00-1:00pm at Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home, 378 South Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. His Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm.

I met Joe in 1966, when my dear and only sister Ginny brought him home to meet the family. He was a little shy at that time. Soon, though, Ginny and Joe were married and had a beautiful baby son. I was then taken into his warm and loving Italian family in Dalton, and we have been good friends ever since. He has always been kind to me and my children (he loved all kids, especially the little ones) and he and my dear departed husband were soon fast friends. When they grew older, they liked to compare experiences volunteering at their respective Food Banks. Joe has always been a wonderful addition to all of our family gatherings and we will miss him and his jokes and smiles very much. A good, good man!
