Joseph Corriveau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Acton Funeral Home on Jan. 8, 2026.
Joseph P. Corriveau, a longtime resident of Maynard, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 85 years old. Joe was the devoted and loving husband of Arlene "DD" (Brooks) Corriveau, with whom he shared more than sixty wonderful years of marriage.

Joe was born in Somerville to the late Joseph and Nellie (Wright) Corriveau. He was raised and educated in Maynard and was a proud graduate of Maynard High School. On February 20, 1965, he married the love of his life, DD, at St. Bridget's Church in Maynard. After spending a short time in Waltham, they returned to Maynard, where they built a warm and loving home and raised their family.

Joe worked for many years as an electrical engineer for Raytheon, Polaroid, and General Electric. He was deeply proud of his strong work ethic and dedication, furthering his education by attending Northeastern University at night while working full time and ultimately earning his bachelor's degree.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Joe found great joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a longtime member of the Maynard Rod and Gun Club, where he also served as a range officer, as well as a longtime member of the Maynard Lodge of Elks. In later years, Joe rediscovered his love for motorcycle riding, which brought him great happiness. Above all else, Joe cherished time spent with his family, which was always his greatest joy and priority.

In addition to his beloved wife Arlene, Joe is survived by his two sons, Steven Corriveau and his partner, Deborah Davis, of Clinton, and Scott Corriveau of Leominster. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jessyca, Peyton, Connor, Ty, Kyle, Marisha, and Marishka. Joe is also survived by his siblings, Terry Glovasky and her husband, Walter, of Ashland; Sandra Jordan and her husband, Jack, of La Porte, Texas; and Jon Corriveau and his wife, Dorothy, of Watertown. He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings.

Joe will be remembered for his kindness, devotion to his family, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
