Joseph Glenn Davis Age 77, of Amboy, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 15, 2025 surrounded by his 3 children. Glenn was born on December 16, 1947, in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Wilma (Nation) Davis. He was a proud and hardworking member of IUOE Local 150, dedicating over 40 years of his life to Midwestern Contractors. Beyond his work, Glenn's true passion was raising and breeding championship quarter horses. He poured his heart into his farm and was proud to be a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. His love for horses was more than a hobby-it was part of his soul and something he loved sharing with family and friends. He was a proud father and grandfather who found his happiest moments surrounded by his children and grandchildren. His steady presence and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his children: Lindsay (Sam) Fong of Elgin, Shane (Teresa) Davis of Amboy, and Price Davis of Amboy. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Maddox Fong, Jaxon Fong, Charlotte (David) McGraw, Lainey Davis, Gentry Davis, Bowyn Davis, and McKinley Kleinprinz. Glenn is also survived by his sisters Gayle Boyle of Amboy, Daphne Doane of Rockford, and Debbie (John) Harling of Coudersport, PA. He also shared a lifelong friendship with Terry McCurry, whose loyal companionship and countless memories were a blessing to Glenn and his family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements are entrusted to Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. A celebration of Glenn's life will be held at his beloved farm: 941 Isenberg Rd., Amboy, IL Sunday, September 7th, 12-4pm Lunch and refreshments will be served
