Joseph J. DiFrancesca

Age 88, of Plum, PA, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 69 years to Dorothy DiFrancesca; loving father of Michael (Sindy) DiFrancesca, Paula (the late Kenton) McKee, and Denise (Greg) Conn, cherished grandfather of Michael (Jamie), Stephanie (Donald), Daniell (Chris), Micaela (Zach), Dominic (Lindsey), Dawn (Ty), Joseph (Amanda), Rebecca (Jon), John, Kevin, Shane (Christina), and Sarah (Larz), treasured Great-Grandfather to Angelina (TJ), Natalie (RJ), Carlie (Dylan), Mia, Isabella, Walter, Bernadette, Elliott, Sylvia, Asa, Nora, Geno, and the late Nicholas; dear Great Great-grandfather of Peyton, Rylee, Ava, Lyla, Harrietta, Ernest, and Linus; brother to Sis, John, Dee Dee, Larry, Grace, James, and the late Santo, Anthony, Lil, Joanne. Joe worked in many trades throughout his life. After a neck injury ended a career as a bus driver, Joe learned the printing trade and along with his wife, Dorothy, founded J.D. Printing. They grew the business from their basement into their own commercial building where it is still in operation for over 50 years. Joe's biggest passion throughout his life was the sport of tournament archery. After many years of achievement and awards in the sport he turned to coaching and serving as a tournament judge. Joe invested his time and talents to help many young archers in the Olympic JOAD program at the Crowfoot Club in Murrysville and mentored an eventual Olympic gold medalist. Joe loved to travel in his RV and spent many years taking his grandchildren camping and adventuring. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 7, from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747).
