Joseph Anthony DiPalermo, 62, of Brentwood, New Hampshire, passed away on July 24th, 2025, following a heart attack and a three-week stay in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Joseph "Joe" was born in Flushing, New York, on November 29th, 1962, the son of Florence Marie (Leone) DiPalermo and Bernardo Joseph DiPalermo. Joe was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and community member. He touched all those around him with his outgoing nature, warmth, humor, and compassion. Joe was the happiest when he was helping and supporting others.

Joe graduated from Methuen High School in 1980 and went on to earn his Associate's Degree in Business from Northern Essex Community College in 1984.

Joe met the love of his life, Diane (Thacker) DiPalermo, in 1994 when they were both involved in a community theater production of Mouse Trap. They married in the Union Church on September 16th, 1995, in Harpswell, Maine, surrounded by their families and friends, and in the presence of God. They were blessed to have two children, Dominic (28) and Alyssa (25), whom they raised in Brentwood, New Hampshire. Joe and Diane spent their nearly 30 years of marriage kayaking on the coast of Maine, volunteering at their church, traveling, and most of all, loving their family and each other.

Joe was an incredibly involved parent and remarkably quick with a dad joke. Whether it was coaching his children's youth sports teams, showing up to every game and band show with the high school marching band, or making frequent trips to visit Dominic and Alyssa at college, Joe was a father figure to many beyond his two children. Legions of Dominic and Alyssa's friends will remember "Joe Daddy"/"Papa D" with immense love and gratitude forever.

Joe was a devoted member of Christ Church Episcopal in Exeter, New Hampshire. He served many years as the Junior Warden, a Vestry member, and a tenor in the choir. His love for choral music led him to the Rockingham Choral Society, where he enjoyed performing for the broader Seacoast community. Always sensitive to the needs of others, Joe was often the first to greet new parishioners and families to make them feel welcome in the congregation. Alongside his son Dominic, Joe designed, installed, and operated the live-streaming system for all church services, establishing an ongoing and accessible worship experience that parishioners will enjoy for years to come. Joe also poured his creative talents and theatrical background into the Christ Church-supported youth theater program, The Pine Street Players. Perhaps his favorite ministry, Joe designed and built Broadway-worthy sets for countless productions over the last decade.

As the Director of Engineering at PICA Manufacturing Solutions, Joe was a cornerstone of the team for 23 years. He excelled in diverse roles throughout his career, including Prototype Engineering, Sales Engineering, Program Management, and Applications Engineering. Joe was an invaluable leader, mentor, and friend to many within the company and across the industry.

In recent years, Joe began to pursue his passion for college and professional sports, working as a broadcast camera operator. What began with college hockey at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, quickly expanded to other collegiate and professional sports around New England. As with everything he put his hand to, Joe quickly excelled and became a pivotal member of the production teams. He was particularly proud of his work broadcasting the Boston Fleet (Professional Women's Hockey League) and the Massachusetts Pirates (Professional Indoor Football League).

Joe's selfless nature was unmatched. There was no person Joe encountered, known or unknown to him, that he did not endeavor to help in some way.

Words cannot express how much we will miss Joe's huge smile, jokes, and kindness, especially at Christ Church. He always made sure to check in with everyone to see how they were doing and inquire about the latest family news. One of Joe's greatest qualities was his thoughtfulness as he was always doing things for others without being asked. I know he was extremely active at our church as Junior Warden, helped out with Pine Street Players, participated in musical events, etc. He was also an incredibly loving and kind father to Alyssa and Dominic and wife to Diane. They were so fortunate to have such an amazing father & husband in their lives: showing endless support and love. Joe will certainly be missed by our family and by all at Christ Church! Sending the entire family peace and hugs during this challenging time. Much love, the Hodsdon family

Mr. DiPalermo was always someone I looked up to. I was a proud member of The Pine Street Players from the beginning and he was there since day one. Probably even before that, I just didn't know it! PSP gave me some of the best memories of my life and they wouldn't have happened without Joe. He always hyped up the kids too and made me feel confident in my work. He also gave amazing hugs. My deepest condolences to your family, and love for always. I'm very grateful to have known Joe.

We, the Couture Family, are so sad to hear about Joe´s untimely death and send lots of love to Diane, Alyssa & Dominic.... Our kids, Chloe & Evan, were involved with PSP for years and, therefore, so were we! I (Bonnie) often volunteered for Set Construction, a variably-sized crew that was lucky to have Joe at the helm. We built and broke down sets at Joe´s direction for many productions over the years, and it seemed that Joe always had an answer for any question or a fix for any problem. There wasn´t anything he couldn´t do or figure out how to do. And he always did it all with a smile, a chuckle or a belly laugh. We only knew this side of Joe, but what a wonderful guy! Our deepest sympathy goes out to your entire family. ~~Bonnie, Chris, Chloe & Evan Couture

I will always remember Joe for his warmth, his ever-present sense of humor, and his genuine kindness. He had a way of making people feel welcome and at ease. Every time I come up to headquarters for business trip, he was always one of the first people I stopped by to say hi, he was thoughtful to keep my drinking cup for me. He treated us like one of his family.
Working alongside him was a gift, and his presence brightened every room he entered. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

With heartfelt sympathy,
Vivian Ruiz

Joe was an amazing man. I got to know him (and his family) at Christ Church, Exeter. During the time that Stephanie Denson and I were doing the youth theater productions annually, Joe was an unbelievable help to us. He helped in any way he could and always had a kind word and a warm smile. I was so sad to hear the news of his death and I send his family love at this difficult time.
