Joseph D. Dohl

Joseph D. Dohl, age 51, of Port Orchard, Washington passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. Joseph was born in Chicago on October 7, 1971, to Donald and Mary. Joseph was retired but he drove tractor trailers for many years. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Donald Dohl. Joseph is survived by his wife Patricia Davis-Dohl; his son, Jeremy Dohl and his stepson Cameron Valenzuela; his mother, Mary Nylund; his dog, Rocky; his siblings, Tamara Grigg (Scott), Cyndi Rines (Mark), & Julie Tollestrup (Jimmy); his 4 nieces; and his 2 nephews.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for the end of July with more information to come.
We lost a wonderful loving husband, father and very special friend. Joseph was deeply in love with his wife Patricia and the best father to his son Jeremy and stepson Cameron. He provided all he could and more. Joseph was humorous, creative and had the ability to have everybody laughing just by being himself. He had a way of seeking out the quiet person standing alone and getting them to engage and participate in one of his whacky, off the wall ideas of fun. He was the type of person that would elevate the energy when he arrived regardless of the setting, and the party usually began once he arrived! To be his friend meant you had loyalty, honesty, humor, and laughter and he helped whenever you needed it and had many great ideas that you could have never thought of on your own. He was extremely intelligent and witty. He was a simple man and knew how to have a great time. He loved fishing with his friends and family. He had one of the biggest hearts anyone has ever known, yet it was his heart that failed him in the end. Rest in Peace my amazing husband Joseph. You are loved and missed more than you'll ever know.
