RICHMOND, Ind. - Joseph "Joe" Troy Douglas, age 54, of Richmond, Indiana, died Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born August 10, 1969, in Richmond, Indiana, to Jesse and Janice Ryan Douglas, Joe was a life-long resident of Richmond. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Desert Storm. Joe worked at Belden and enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling all over the United States, but he also loved to be at home in the recliner, with his dogs on his lap, watching television. Joe was a jack-of-all-trades, very handy at building things and a talented woodworker.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Debbie Brooks Douglas; daughters, Morgan Douglas of Richmond and Courtney Douglas of Greensburg, Indiana; son, Noah Douglas of Richmond; mother, Janice Douglas of Richmond; granddaughter, Isabella Douglas; sister, Janece (Rick) Riffel of Texas; brother, Jesse Douglas of Oregon; father-in-law, David Brooks; his grand puppies, Cindy and Willow; and his dogs, Panda and Scooter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Newton Douglas; and two sons, J. D. Douglas, and Justin Douglas.
Visitation for Joseph "Joe" Troy Douglas will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery - Veteran's Field of Honor at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family.
