Born December 24, 1958, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Arthur and Viola (Wallace) Eddy.
Joseph worked as a shipping manager at Pennox Technologies, Pittston.
He enjoyed fishing and working in his garden.
In addition to his parents, preceding Joseph in death is a sister: Irene Pahler.
Surviving is his fiancé: Kim Hazlak; two sons: Josh Eddy and his wife Allison of Wilkes-Barre and Justin Eddy and his wife Beth Ann of Hunlock Creek; one future daughter-in-law: Linda Rockel of Bendertown; five siblings: Georgianna Reese-Gebhardt and her husband Jack of Dallas, Arthur Eddy Jr. of Wilkes-Barre, Clarence Eddy of Wilkes-Barre, Kathy Eddy of Nanticoke and Bertha Smith and her husband Dale of Hanover Township; three grandchildren: Justin Eddy, Zachary Davies and Austin Eddy and his loyal dog: Roxy.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Shickshinny.
