Joseph "Joe" D. Ellsworth, aged 65 passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at Olson Manor in Midland, Michigan. Born on June15, 1960, in Flint, Michigan, Joe was the cherished son of Donald and Joan (Bailey) Ellsworth. His life was a testament to kindness, laughter, and courage that he embodied and shared generously with all who knew him.

Joe grew up in a lively household with his loving parents and siblings. He was a proud graduate of Grand Blanc High School. After graduation, Joe worked at General Motors for a short period in an Oklahoma plant before moving to Gladwin in 1985.

Family was the cornerstone of Joe's life. He is survived by his father, Donald Sr. Ellsworth; his sisters, Nancy & Ron Swapp and Becky Thymian; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Ellsworth; and several adoring nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Ellsworth, and his brothers, Don Ellsworth, and his brother-in-law Steve Thymian.

Those who knew Joe will remember him. He faced life's challenges with a courage that inspired those around him. Joe's kind-hearted nature made him a beloved figure in his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider in luie of flowers a gift to American Legion Auxiliary Post 294, 3440 Morrish Rd. Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473.
